Simplicity

Sometimes simple dishes are the best. This morning after a filling breakfast (see post below) I felt like something light, fresh and simple for lunch. I wasn't feeling hungry and didn't want to spend long in the kitchen, using ingredients we already had. I decided to steam green beans and asparagus stalks for a few minutes (not too long as I still wanted them to retain their crunch) before pan frying them in some olive oil, crushed garlic, salt and pepper. Simple, delicious and just what I felt like.

  1. I like to make this too! I actually had it the other day. Great minds think alike Hannah! Is this asparagus from your garden?

  2. Thanks Tilly! Great minds do think alike ;) And this asparagus isn't from our garden, but from all the rain we've been getting i'm sure they'll be stalks ready to cut soon!
